RoxUp is the beta test system for a tagging based media storage system. It is an experiment in using a tagging paradigm instead of the normal heirarchical (directories) based system. Instead of arranging media the way a museum would, where every item can only be in one gallery, Roxup/Metador puts everything in one big pool. Items are then tagged based on their content. An item can have any number of tags. This allows for the creation dynamic galleries based on themes.

For example, assume an item has 5 tags: flora, flower, red, bee, bumble.bee. A "gallery" or tag chain of "red" and "flower" would include every item tagged with "red" and "flower," including the example item. The example item may be a picture, or it may be a video, or anything else.

Project Goals/Milestones
• v1.0 - stable system that supports custom tagging
• v1.5 - builds on the original system with an ordering system (this will initially be deployed as FinishBrush.com, because I want this project to fund itself).
• v2.0 - adds item sharing between users and copyright tagging (to go with the order system)
• v3.0 - adds experimental automatic tagging features (not sure what these are yet).
• subsequent verisons will mostly be expanding on the automatic tagging system with additional techniques
